Position: Project Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate projects hand-off, ensuring that the delivery team understands
  expectations
• Lead or facilitate a pre-project technical requirements gathering and scope
  definition with project stakeholders
• Assemble, assign, and direct the project team and develop a schedule to ensure timely completion of the project and set expectations in accordance with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team members
• Employ established PMO guidelines to ensure project documentation is
  properly written, reviewed, updated, and archived at project close.
• Assist in writing business requirements, functional specifications, design
  documentation, test scripts, etc., as needed
• Lead and supervise the work of project team members (who are not direct
  reports); collaborate with functional managers on resource allocation and
  management of staff assigned to projects
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members
  (onsite and offshore), client stakeholders and peers
• Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals
• Proactively anticipate and identify project risks and implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate risk events in order to minimize the impact on the project
• Identify and escalate issues that may impede project timelines, costs, and/or quality; articulate trade-offs in response to shifting requirements; and manage subsequent changes
• Measure performance to ensure projects are progressing according to
  approved plans and will meet established targets
• Continuously enhance project management capabilities through a commitment to professional development

Skills:

•  7+ years of experience as a project manager with in-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle and a thorough understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies
• Full Time
• No remote
• Bachelor’s / advanced degree in Computer Science, Technology, Media, or
  Information Systems preferred demonstrating a strong understanding of software development and infrastructure
• On-hands and active PM experience (ideally certified in PMP and/or Agile)
• Profound knowledge of web technology and apps-related technologies
• A working understanding of the Media landscape and the challenges that media companies are facing
• Proficiency in MS Project/Office, Jira, and Salesforce
• Keenness to work in a company with an entrepreneurial spirit at its core
• Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required;
• Knowledge of Online Video from ingestion to delivery of content to devices on multiple platforms is added PLUS
• Knowledge of the mechanics of OTT /SVOD streaming video products is added PLUS
